I’m a huge fan of coupons and discount sites. Using coupons, I was recently able to purchase an amazon local deal for $2 that included 2 entrees & an appetizer at a local restaurant. The server liked us so much that she let us sample ( at about 4oz each) all of their specialty mixed drinks they keep in frozen drink machines behind the bar. I also signed up for their texting club & got a free margarita while we were there. The coupon cost me $2, and then after using it the rest of the bill was a little over $2. And, we brought home a ton of leftovers. 🙂

The best thing I ever bought for under five dollars was a Black & Decker Toaster oven. About a week or so before my fiance and I had just moved into our first apartment, we went on a little Spring Break vacation in Maryland. Just because we had some extra change in our pockets, we stopped in an Ollie’s on the way home. Now Ollie’s is like a warehouse outlet, they always have super cheap stuff. But in the clearance aisle we found a perfectly new, unused, Black and Decker toaster oven for 4.99!! It was our first real “appliance” for our new home, and I have used it nearly every night since. For dinners, for toasting bagels, baking dinner rolls. It’s perfect because we are just two people, so we don’t eat much and it is always such a waste to turn on our real conventional oven. I love my little toaster oven, even if it sounds silly.
